Fundraising Campaign
In 2003, as part of the groundbreaking campaign to raise funds for the
adoption center, memorial bricks were made available for purchase and the
original intent was to place them in a walkway in the enclosed courtyard area.
Unfortunately, due to budget constraints the original building blueprint had to
be revised and 3,000 square feet eliminated.
As part of the revised plan, the courtyard was not finished as originally
intended. Therefore, the lasting memorials and tributes to beloved family,
friends, and furry pet members have remained in a holding pattern. Because the
bricks were slated to be a part of a beautiful walkway and because we do not
want to expose the bricks to inclement weather until they can be permanently
placed; the bricks remain stored inside the adoption center.
Unfortunately, due to the economy, we have no way of knowing when the
original design for the courtyard walkway will be realized. Until that time, we
recognize all of our memorial brick honorees and donors and thank them for their
understanding.
