Adoption Center Open:

What could be better than all of the wonderful animals whose lives have been saved through the Charlotte Edkins Animal Adoption Center? Why, being able to save even more wonderful animals through the Adoption Center, of course! And by expanding our facility to allow us to take in more homeless dogs and cats, that’s just what we plan to do.

The expansion will include 40-50 badly needed kennels for large and medium sized dogs. Also included in the plan are more space for kittens and cats, a dog quarantine area, an expanded get-acquainted room, and other changes that will further improve the comfort and well-being of the animals in our care.
Fundraising for the expansion has already begun, and is being spear-headed by Larry Wilson. Larry and his wife Claire have kicked off this capital campaign with a challenge gift of $250,000. Matching gifts from other major supporters have already added an additional $100,000 toward the ultimate goal of $750,000.

Plans for the expansion are being finalized and construction will begin as soon as possible.
